F.I.N.A.L.L.Y.....My bathroom is done!

After many, many months....we are D.O.N.E.!!!!  I can't believe I just said that...DONE!  FINALLY!!!  (Did you hear the choir of angels singing????)  *Before I go any farther I want to give God the glory for making this remodel possible!  And I want to thank my precious husband for making my dream come true!  I love you across my heart and back again =) *

When we built our house, almost 12 years ago we didn't take in to account a growing family.  At the time a shower stall seemed fine.   BAD idea!  There are so many things we did wrong in the original design, but we were in a hurry to get moved in to our house and we cut corners...BAD IDEA!!! But, in the end it all worked out.

It took us about 4 months to completely finish.  Why? you ask....well we wanted to pay cash for EVERYTHING!  And we wanted to take our time, do it right, and LOVE it.   We knew we wanted a claw foot tub, so I had to find one.  Then it had to be refinished (you can read about that here).  I had to find faucets for both the tub and the vessel sink.... among other things.

So this is what we started with:

(can you believe I actually picked that color out! It was along time ago!!!  Bahahaha!)

(Look at all the junk on the counter...I HATE that!!!)

(The hammer is not usually in the bathroom:)

(can you say U.G.L.Y!!!!!)

(This was the door that went in to the boys room...and it was once our master bedroom! LOL)

(My pitiful little window)

Ok, so you see how seriously small this bathroom was!  It was really sad =(  But now it's happy =)

Here is what we have now:

(Love this vessel sink..and this is the pic of the refinished coffee table top I did...you can read about it here!)

(The curtain I made from a linen bed skirt...I'll be doing a post on it later=)

(I like the counter top with the flowers on it better.  Note to self:  Get more flowers=)

(Isn't she a beauty!  Here she is before!)

(I love this shot!  I got the idea for the painted Mason Jar over at TipJunkie)

(Remember how dark it felt with this window before...new window = lots of light!)

(The shelf is where the door to the bedroom used to be.)

(Love the cedar beam in the middle of the room!  That is where the old bathroom started..right at the post.  The knee wall is the wall the toilet sat against.)

(This is a yard sale find...SCORE!)

(The toilet is still in the same spot...look how much room we added to the room!)

(My little votive...I have 6 of them :)

Well, there you have it.  My new getaway!  I have been known to come up missing for a hour or 5!  *I wish*

So, we managed to spend about $1500.00 total on the whole room remodel.  That is bead board, tile, grout, tub, tub refinish, sink, faucets for tub and sink, paint, window, accessories....EVERYTHING!  The only thing that is missing is the chandelier over near the tub.  I haven't found one that I just *L.O.V.E.* yet, so I refuse to put anything in there until I just can't live without it.  But when I do find my love, I'll be sure to post!

I think that's pretty good.  Considering we made the space larger.

Tell me, what do you think??

Blessings~
