Our first attempt at a lapbook!

Today we attempted our very first "real" lapbook.  It was the "All About Me" Lapbook that a friend and I found here.  We (my friend and I) thought it would be fun to do it together since it was our first time.  She had made one previously with her boys and had a blast.

She printed off a few things from the website, but we mostly made everything else.  I haven't been able to get my printer hooked back up to my computer since it crashed a few weeks ago, so until then we will be making everything.

Ours were pretty simple, since I was a newbie:)  But here is the front to my youngest, Logan's LB (he didn't want to decorate the outside...so whatever!  He hates to color! LOL)

Inside/front of each flap in Logan's LB:
(The little flap with foil on it is suppose to be a mirror)

Inside the flaps:
(behind the mirror/foil is their picture:)

Isn't it precious;)

Here is the front of Dawson's LB:
(Again...they HATE to color!  But love to draw??  What's up with that?)

And here is the back of both lapbooks:

I did edit some of the pictures to remove dates of birth, etc.  I didn't open the phone # flap...all for security reasons.  Maybe I'm paranoid, but better safe than sorry....but you get the idea about how we did them, right?!

The boys had a blast!  We will definitely be doing it again.  I think we are going to do our next one on owls!!! The boys can't wait to start.  We may have found something that they enjoy doing....if mama can keep her opinions to her self....and keep her hands off their LB's!  I really wanted to help but they didn't want me too.  Guess next time I'll have to make my own lapbook!!!  Since they won't share:(  hehe

Blessings~

  5. Those are so cute! I currently don't have a printer, either, so I've struggled with how to create lap books. These are great ideas!
