Down On The Farm

I'm just a simple gal and love our life on our lil' mini farm.  I would love to have 42 acres of farm animals, but right now it's just not gonna happen.  But one day it will!  Until then, we have 3 pigs and some chickens, which is more than enough to keep us busy!!!

We have 2 boars and 1 sow.  And after the longest 3 months EVER our sow, AKA, Bacon, had her first litter of piglets....8 of them!  1 of them died, but so far the other look great!  And my boys got to experience life.  They got to see God's handy work and the amazing gift of life.  They have been so full of questions since!  And they loved seeing every minute of it.

Aren't they precious!!!!

Mama pig was so tired!  She worked really hard!

Me helping all the babies get comfy=)  I had to help poor mama pig deliver the rest of her afterbirth.  She was so exhausted!

That was one of the coolest experiences ever!  I have to say if you aren't into the farming thing you have to at least visit one.  The babies are precious....and I can't wait to actually help deliver.  Maybe next time I'll get to.  So, anyway....that was our adventure for the day!  I'm sure I'll have many more pictures and posts to come.

Blessings~

We are super excited!!! They are just so precious! Say a little prayer for them though...mama pig isn't wanting to stay in the barn and it's getting cool here at night.
